Ms. Higgins is a trial attorney whose practice is concentrated in business litigation, employment litigation, and professional and product liability defense. Ms. Higgins also counsels clients on insurance coverage matters. Ms. Higgins was selected as one of the "Top 50 Women Lawyers in New England" and as one of the "Top 50 Women Lawyers in Massachusetts" by Law and Politics and the publishers of Boston Magazine in 2008 and 2009.

She has tried jury and non-jury cases in state and federal court, and also has represented clients before numerous state and federal agencies. Ms. Higgins also represents attorneys in disciplinary proceedings commenced by the Board of Bar Overseers. She is the Co-Chair of the firm's Professional Liability Practice Group, and a former Co-Chair of the Boston Bar Association's Professional Liability Committee. She is a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel. 

Ms. Higgins is a member of the Supreme Judicial Court Standing Advisory Committee on the Rules of Professional Conduct and a member of the Boston Bar Association's Lawyer Referral Service Advisory Committee. She also is a Board Member and former President of the Women's Bar Foundation, which runs five different pro bono legal services programs in Massachusetts. Ms. Higgins chairs the Pro Bono Committee at the firm and serves as the firm's Risk Management partner.
