The firm's trial lawyers have represented insurance agents and brokers in a number of cases involving claims of negligence, breach of contract, and violations of the Massachusetts Consumer Protection Act. In each case, the firm has worked closely with the client agency and the agency's staff to identify all relevant documents and communications and any potentially applicable defenses to liability. Further, in those cases where the agency's exposure largely has been dependent on the outcome of underlying litigation brought against the agency's customers, the firm's attorneys have closely monitored the underlying litigation and on occasion have worked to resolve that litigation in a way that has minimized exposure to our client. Conn Kavanaugh also acts as national counsel for a large insurance company on out-of-state cases involving large exposures or complex coverage issues.
