Conn Kavanaugh is experienced in handling the broad range of issues that arise in the employment setting and in resolving employment-related disputes through litigation or alternative dispute resolution.

Our clients include publicly held multinational companies and closely held businesses as well as executives and managerial employees. Conn Kavanaugh's Employment Law Group includes attorneys who are seasoned litigators with broad experience in federal and state courts, in administrative proceedings, and in alternative dispute resolution processes. Our practice focuses on the following four areas.

Employment Counseling

Conn Kavanaugh works with employers to develop effective personnel policies that are intended not only to improve relations between management and employees, but also to avoid costly litigation whenever possible. Our lawyers have extensive experience in preparing new employment policies and procedures, as well as evaluating and updating existing policies. We also prepare offer letters, employment contracts, and various other documents that define the employment relationship. We provide on-site training to clients, when requested, on discrimination, reasonable accommodation, workplace harassment, and technology and privacy matters. We also provide counseling to assist employers and employees to resolve workplace conflicts which may lead to litigation.

Executive Agreements and Compensation

Conn Kavanaugh regularly advises executives and employers on the negotiation and drafting of executive and key-person employment agreements and related incentive compensation agreements. We also have extensive experience in advising clients in connection with negotiating all aspects of separation from employment.
